In an investor note, Kuo says that the 4-inch
iPhone "resembles an upgraded iPhone 5s" and
will feature an A9 processor. Though Kuo's
report does not say much on the smaller
iPhone's design , however, he hints that the new
iPhone sport metal casing as opposed to iPhone
5c's plastic design.

According to the report, 4-inch iPhone won't
come with 3D Touch, a derivative of Force Touch
technology used in Apple Watch. Kuo also wrote
that Foxconn will be the sole manufacturer of
this new iPhone while TSMC will produce A9 chip
for the device. The 4-inch iPhone is expected to
ship some time in the first half of 2016.

On the next major upgrade for iPhone lineup, Kuo
says it is likely to be iPhone 7. The iPhone 6S
and 6S Plus successor will come in the same
4.7-inch and 5.5-inch sizes and run on custom
A10 CPUs, according to Kuo.

Kuo also claims that the Plus model will feature
3GB RAM while the regular model will have 2GB.
